Culinary & Mixology Tent
At the 2023 Fest, the Taste NY Culinary & Mixology Tent hosted cooking and cocktail demonstrations performed by Executive Chef Eric Hudson, Mixaritas Mobile Bartending Service, and other special guests! The chefs and mixologists utilize products from our festival vendors in their recipes.
In addition to the demonstrations, the chefs and mixologists compete in ‘Iron Chef’ style competitions each day of the festival – influencer judges put their taste buds to the ultimate test and chose the winners!

Jenn & Kelli have known each other since 2007 when Jenn signed up for 3 of Kelli’s Hospitality Management Classes at SUNY Adirondack, and then Paul Smiths College. They became friends and after years of throwing around business ideas, the ladies finally decided to take action…Welcome to Mixaritas-Mobile Bartending Service.
The Mixaritas are Hospitality Professionals with over 45 years of combined experience and a passion for craft cocktails.
In addition, Kelli owns and operates Mixafusion, where she makes natural homemade simple syrups. These are used in her fest cocktails and available for sale!
Meet Chef Eric, husband, father, and the mastermind behind all the delicious dishes showed off to Fest Attendees to invigorate their senses over the past two years!
Chef discovered his love for cooking in high school. From there he attended a culinary school and spent the next 15 years working in various restaurants, from fast food, casual, and fine dining. Learning how to cook, how to lead, and always trying to climb to the next level.
With Hudson’s Private Chef Services, you will enjoy Chef Eric’s company, in your home, cooking for your special occasion. He handles all the customer care, shopping, cooking. and much more.

Congratulations to our Saturday Culinary Competition Winner: Chef Billy Trudsoe! Local, celebrity chef, Billy Trudsoe, recently a contestant on Gordon Ramsey’s, Hell’s Kitchen season 21, is now the executive chef at Basil & Wick’s in North Creek, New York. His menu, fueled by his trademark “B. True’s Mad Flava”, is making Basil’s the premiere dining destination of the Adirondacks!
Congratulations to our Sunday Culinary Competition Winner: Chef Carl Weiner! Chef Carl Weiner is the owner of the Sans Souci, a restaurant in the east side community of Cleverdale (10 minutes outside of lake george village off Route 9L); featuring casual dining and pizza in a local setting! Carl spends time in the front of house and in the kitchen. He spends his days as a practicing CPA.
