We cannot believe how quickly the Adirondack Wine and Food Festival is approaching; We are now just over 2 weeks away!
We are so excited that we just couldn’t wait until June 25th & 26th; So, we recently took a little day trip to Lake George for just a small taste of what you will experience at the Festival. We visited our friends at Adirondack Winery, Adirondack Pub & Brewery, and Lake George Olive Oil Company (all of whom will be present at the Festival), made ourselves a little picnic basket full of their blog products, and took a stroll down West Brook Road to scope out the Charles R. Wood Festival Commons, where we’ll be setting up shop in just a few short weeks.
As we took a look around the Festival Commons, we couldn’t help but feel so incredibly fortunate knowing that our event is one of the first events to be held in this brand new festival space! We told you that the beauty of Lake George would be your backdrop, but when you see just how beautiful this space is in person, it truly takes your breath away. The festival grounds are surrounded by the scenic Adirondack Food Mountains on all sides and are set just across from beautiful Lake George, the Queen of the American Lakes.
To say we will have wine and food is putting it modestly! Our Vendor List has grown to an outstanding 38 vendors, with wineries, craft breweries, distilleries, cideries, gourmet food vendors, food trucks, and specialty vendors traveling from near and far to join us for our inaugural event! We have Swedish Hill Winery visiting from the Finger Lakes Region, Thousand Islands Winery from Alexandria Bay and so many more. Each winery’s table will be set up for you to “try before you buy” so that you can sample their delicious, hand-crafted wines and even purchase your favorite bottles to take home with you!
We know that wine is not for everyone, and while we cannot dream of a life without vino, we have a love and appreciation for the entire craft beverage industry, and we know that many of you do as well. For that reason, we have also invited several local breweries, distilleries and cideries to join us. Adirondack Pub & Brewery, Davidson Brothers Brewing Company, Harvest Spirits Distillery, Lake George Distilling Co., Springbrook Hollow Distillery, Nine Pin Ciderworks, and Slyboro Ciderhouse will all be present, showcasing, sampling, and selling their products.
For all of you foodies out there, we will have plenty of gourmet food vendors providing delicious samples to pair with your wine, beer, spirits & cider. From olive oils, cheese, and crackers, to gourmet sauces, maple products, and dutch apple pie, it will be hard to keep your mouth from watering all day! Be sure to arrive with an appetite because we will also have food trucks like The Hungry Traveler to fill you up and keep you going throughout your day!
So, get ready to experience all the best that the region has to offer, and make sure you come to see us in Lake George, at the very first, Adirondack Wine & Food Festival on June 27th & 28th! You won’t be sorry and neither will your taste buds!
