The Adirondack Wine & Food Festival is held in beautiful Lake George. It’s no secret that we love this area, so we know we have to do our part to minimize the impact of the festival, protect the environment, and keep Lake George as clean and beautiful as we can. In honor of Earth Day, here are just a few of the things we’re doing to keep the festival eco-friendly.
Keeping the Festival Clean
The festival will be filled with people trying new products, but we won’t be leaving behind any waste. There will be trash and recycling readily available throughout the festival thanks to Ace Carting, our Official Trash and Recycling Partner. Because of Ace Carting, we’ll be leaving the Lake George Festival Commons just as clean as they are when we arrive.
No matter what kind of ticket you have, you’ll be given a bag with some festival essentials when you arrive. To reduce our plastic use, everybody will receive an eco-friendly, reusable bag courtesy of the Lake George Outlets, our Official Eco-Friendly Bag Sponsor. If you’re a VIP ticket holder, you’ll even get a special edition reusable tote bag that fits 6 bottles of wine!
Apex Solar, our Exclusive Solar Sponsor, will be at the festival with a solar charging trailer. Thanks to Apex Solar, you won’t have to worry about your phone dying and not being able to capture all your fun memories, and you’ll be playing a small part in reducing energy consumption.
Recycled Water Bottles
Thanks to Saratoga Spring Water Co., our Official Water Sponsor, our VIPs and DDs will receive complimentary water in recyclable glass bottles. Our festival beneficiary, Big Brothers Big Sisters will be on-premises selling ORIGIN water to help keep everybody hydrated. ORIGIN bottles are made with 100% recycled bottles (excluding the label and cap). ORIGIN water is also 100% Natural Spring Water sourced in the United States. They are devoted to preserving conserving springs and making their packaging as eco-friendly as possible.
Doing Our Part
We’re doing our part, so we ask that you do the same! By not littering, recycling all plastic, and remembering that we can’t take this earth for granted, we can reduce the environmental impact of the festival and make sure to leave the area even better off.
